Misha went on to a successful career in New York; writing, arranging and producing records for RCA, CBS, Vanguard, Mercury and others. He
worked with such artists as Luther Vandross, Bob James, Phyllis Hyman, Carl Anderson, Maynard Ferguson and Dave Grusin. Signed to Motown as a
composer/ songwriter, he scored BERRY GORDY'S THE LAST DRAGON and wrote numerous songs.
Among his accomplishments are an Emmy Award and nomination,
scores for major motion pictures such as PHANTOM OF THE OPERA, PIPPI LONGSTOCKING and MEN OF RESPECT. He recently scored and served as music director for the special MONKEES reunion show for ABC Television.
As a
recording artist, Misha's own CD, ZAMBOOKA (Music Masters) features legendary artists Chick Corea, Freddy Hubbard and Mark Isham. DON'T SAY IT'S OVER (Warner Brothers) produced and co-written by Misha, features vocalist
Randy Crawford. This CD spent three weeks at No. 1 on the NAC charts.
Misha's current CD "Connected to the Unexpected" was recently released by JVC records. It was picked up by the top NAC stations
around the nation and over 200 college stations. The reviewers praise it as, possibly, a "new genre in music."
