RAFAEL CIRNE LIMA was born in Porto Alegre, Brazil on May 25, 1970. In 1986 he had his first contact with the Electric Bass and for the next 2 years, he was involved in a Pop-Rock Project playing venues all over his state in local events and Festivals.

In 1995, after a 6 years hiatus, Rafael picked up the Bass again and during the 2 following years he was part of IGUANA, a Funk Project that had a very succesfull career in Rio Grande do Sul. He also started to get recognition as a free lance musician.

In 1987, Rafael relocated to L.A. to attend the Bass Institute of Technology (BIT) at the very prestigious Musicians Institute for a year. Since his graduation he has worked as a free lance musician for several diferent artists in a range of styles that covers from Brazilian Music to Blues, Jazz to Alternative Rock.
